Though the iPad 2 has just released, the iPad 3 is already on the minds of Apple fans. iPad 3 is supposed to have features like a retina display, 4G connectivity, SD card slot, a better camera, a dual-core processor if not a quad-core processor, a USB slot, an A6 chip, more storage, and NFC chip, and maybe even a 3D display. These features will of course raise the price of the iPad 3, but will be worth it.

For those of you who just purchased an iPad 2, don’t fret, the iPad 3 will probably be released late 2011, or early 2012, so you don’t have to sell your iPad 2 just yet.

Apple will have to release iPad 3 pretty soon, since RIM, Samsung, and Android are putting up quite a fight to the iPad 2, and will soon leave it the dust.

So let’s dig a little deeper into the features that the iPad 3 is supposed to have….

Display-

The display is most likely going to be retina (2560 x 1920), and if it is not that, it will probably going to be HD, or maybe even Samsung’s Super AMOLED Display, but it’s a long shot. An even longer shot, some say that the iPad 3 will have a 3D display. For now, let’s just say it’s going to be a retina display.

4G connectivity-

It is very likely that along with the other future tablets on the market, Apple is going to join with AT&T and Verizon to make the iPad 3 4G. Will AT&T’s recent merge with T-Mobile result in iPad 3 to be available with T-Mobile? All we can do is wait to find out.

Memory-

It is said that iPad 3 will have more memory, perhaps up to 132 GB, or will have an SD card slot, for expandable memory.

USB slot-

Some rumors also say that the iPad 3 will have a USB slot, so it can be used as a laptop, but it is unlikely since this may reduce Apple’s computers’ sales.

Better Camera-

Some rumors also say that the iPad 3 will have a better front-facing camera, and a better back facing camera, with flash. The back facing camera is supposed to be 8 mega-pixel. This is very likely.

A6 chip-

iPad 3 is supposed to have an A6 chip, an upgrade from the A5 chip, which the iPad 2 currently has. The A6 chip will make Safari faster, load up faster, and just make the device as a whole, faster.

NFC Chip-

This will allow iPad 3 to be able to connect with your Apple computer, allowing you to transfer documents between each device with just a flick of a wrist. This is very likely to be in the iPad 3.

Processor-

The iPad 3 is rumored to have a better processor, most likely a dual-core, and maybe even a quad-core. This will result in a way faster internet.

Price-

The iPad 3 is supposed to be starting at $599, instead of $499. (iPad 2′s price and the original iPad’s price when it first came out.)
