New rumors have been circulating about an earlier release for the iPad 3, supposedly before Thanksgiving. This could be the release date of the rumored iPad 2 HD, which means that we can expect less than a complete upgrade. That implies that the iPad 3 will probably be released sometime in early 2012.
New features may include a Retina Display and a better camera; not very interesting but some things to keep competitors at bay. We could also expect a Black Friday release, since the new iPad is supposed to release along the lines of Thanksgiving. This would make the most sense, as Apple could then announce the new iPad with the iPhone 5 at their September conference.
