Recently, Apple sent out an e-mail to select reporters stating that the next conference will be taking place on Oct. 4th at 10:00 AM PT. Although Apple has not officially stated that the iPhone 5 will be announced next week, there has been much speculation that it will in fact be announced. At this same conference, it is predicted that Apple will release their second iPhone, nicknamed the iPhone 4S, due to the recent leak from Gore (see our other post for more details).

This of course would be Tim Cook’s, Apple’s new CEO’s first WWDC conference as the new face of Apple. The only question that still remains is, will he do as good of a job as Steve Jobs did? Apple Shareholders are wondering whether this conference will hold as much weight without Steve Jobs at the forefront. Chances are that Tim Cook has enough experience to run a WWDC conference, but perhaps he might give it the extra touch, the one that Steve Jobs was a Pro at.
