iPad 3 Design Leaks

The Repair Labs at Fix-iPhones.com made a tremendous discovery about the new iPad 3. They reportedly have gotten a back panel of the unreleased iPad 3. They took a picture showing the iPad 3 compared to the iPad 2, showing 4 major changes.

The first difference discovered is the change in the mount for the logic board. The mount appears smaller, meaning that there is definitely going to be a change in the processor of the iPad 3. The one we have in mind is the quad-core A6 processor that was already rumored to be in the iPad 3.

The size reduction of the mount also suggests an increased battery size. Because of the upgraded processor, it’s only natural that the battery life would have to be upgraded as well, to keep up with the amount of battery that the new quad-core processor is going to use. The extra space given by the smaller mount indicates that Apple will probably not have to increase the thickness of the iPad 3.

The third change indicated is that the iPad 3 will feature a different camera. Unfortunately, we don’t know what the new camera is going to be like, but we hope that the camera will be increased significantly. The camera on the iPad 2 is terrible, and just about every tablet’s camera beats it by a long-shot. It is rumored that the iPad 3 will include the same camera used on the iPhone 4S, which was praised tremendously at it’s release.

The last change is the screen. The iPad 3 makes room for a new screen, perhaps a Retina Display, or perhaps the same screen resolution but from a different maker. The most voted change wanted in the iPad 3 is a Retina Display. Based on Apple’s previous products, it seems probable that they will include an upgraded screen resolution as they did in the iPhone 4.

All we can do now is wait and see as the release date for Apple’s iPad 3 gets closer and closer.
