As we get closer to the awaited release date of the iPad 3, the rumors that had been floating around all year might be coming true. Since Apple is always secretive about their new products, they themselves have not shared any information. The main question on the minds of Apple fans are whether the iPad 3 will be able to compete with all the new competition of 2012 and claim new hearts of new customers.
New Processor-
It is safe to say that the iPad 3 will be featuring a new and improved processor, about twice as fast as the one in the iPad 2. It will most probably also include the A6 chip, the one included in the iPhone 4S. It is also said that Apple will need to upgrade the processor in order to showcase some new features.
Retina Display-
It is likely that the iPad 3 will feature a retina display, since many were disappointed to hear that the iPad 2 did not feature the display, since the iPhone 4 already did at the time of the iPad 2′s release. If Apple can come up with the engineering to include it in the new iPad, it is almost certain that they will.
Better Battery Life-
In order to include a new processor and a retina display, the iPad 3 will have to have a better battery life to keep the claim that the iPad offers a full 10 hours without a single charge. Since the batter will be bigger, it is likely that the iPad 3 might be slightly thicker than the iPad 2, but minimally.
4G Connectivity-
The iPad 3 might include this feature to boost connectivity, if Apple can harness the power of 4G with their new A6 chip.
