Apple board member, Al Gore, leaked some information about the awaited release of the new iPhones on Wednesday (9/21). The comment has also increased speculation that Apple could release a cheaper iPhone along with the iPhone 5, currently nicknamed the iPhone 4S.

iOS 5, Apple’s newest operating system, is just about perfect by now, with millions of Apple Developers testing it. iOS 5 is supposed to be released to assemblers on Sept. 23rd and is supposed to be in the hands on consumers in early October. There is much speculation on an October release for the iPhone 5, due to the fact that the September WWDC might be towards the end of the month. The iPhone 5 is still expected to be announced and be ready for pre-order by September 30th, but it will probably be available for purchase through retail stores on October 7th.

The September release of the iPhone 5 has finally been confirmed to September, proving AppleInquirer’s predictions correct. Apple had previously confirmed the iPhone 5′s release to be in the third quarter, meaning a probable September release for the product.
